A. Visit to the busy noisy town + Tea Museum + Christ Church (Half day)

A visit to Tea Museum is indispensable to understand the history of plantation of South India in general. Have hands on experience on tea brewing in India. Discover the wide range of tea available. Enjoy tea tasting; an art perfected over 125 years in an adjacent tea processing unit.

Visit local market, find-out tea tomato and other special vegetables displayed. . Also pass through the narrow bazaar where hectic trade in spices and tea take place.

Visit Christ Church, a small church built during British, where every pebble speaks about a romantic story.

Shopping tips: Tea is naturally the best buy in Munnar. You will get a variety of flavors. KDHP Company has a show-room in the town itself where you get right product at the right price. Natural oil which is another attraction is sold at Blackberry Hills. Srishti, near tea museum, showcases creations of handicapped children of Munnar such as textiles, recycled paper products etc. is worth visiting.

B. Meet the Mascot of Munnar + (Half day trip) Rajamala-Eravikulam National Park



Eravikulam National Park is where you find the maximum number of world's endangered animals, Tahr. The rolling hills of the park are most enjoyable for a long walk.

C. Sandal wood trails (one full day) Marayoor-Kanthaloor-Chinnar Wild life sanctuary



Marayoor is blessed with the largest natural sandal wood forest. Other attractions include Dolmen, relics of Stone Age civilization found on a hillock near here. Age old cave paintings are another attraction.

Visit a Tribal village and learn about terrace planting or tribal farming in Kanthalloor.

Chinnar wild life sanctuary is known for its endangered and endemic birds and animals. Go for a trekking escorted by Hill Pulavars, an ethnic tribe. The trekking is arranged by Eco Developmental Committee.

D. Adventure Trails Jeep Drive to Kolukkumali via Chinnakkanal (one full day)



Visit Asia's highest tea plantation and enjoy scenic beauty enroute.

E. Explore Diversity Madupety dam-Kundale-Top Station-Koviloor-Pambadum Sholai National Park
(Full day)


Kundale is famous for its lovely lakes and thickly packed forests around it. Every turn of the road is picnic point. You may be lucky to salute a march-past of a bison- herd some where near a lake.

Top-station offers you a magnificent view of the distant Tamil Nadu villages. Labours and their supplies came to Munnar through Top-station during the years of development of plantations.

Koviloor is a typical village known for its terrace farming. Do not miss its market.

If you are traveling in a car, you may have to hire a jeep to proceed further to the forest.

Pambadum Sholai National Park is home for many endangered animals and birds. Listen to the music of the forest while you move along the thick forest. Diversity of the densely packed forest is amazing.
