The vast plantation visible from your balcony is Pallivasal Tea Estate, the largest of 22 tea estates in Munnar. The valley is almost like a big basin and your cottage is on the edge of it. A gap in the far west end permits mist to flow-in and wind carries it like cotton. The mist, the wind, tricks of naughty tropical sun and the shadow of the mountain peaks create an ever changing cosmic experience known as The Magic of Mountain Gods.

Plantation Village

Two plantation villages are visible from your balcony. Attukad village and Power House village. Workers of the Pallivasal plantation live in these barrack-like dwellings. Each village is exclusive with its own school, playground, dispensary, temple, church etc. Manager’s bungalow also is in the vicinity. Life in a typical plantation village is worth experiencing.
